During our trip to New York in February we managed to tick off a few things on our bucket lists, like the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Another fun activity that might be a little less known is to take a ride on the Roosevelt Island Tramway. It’s only a short trip from the station on 2nd Ave on Manhattan to Roosevelt Island.
The ride offers some great views of East River and close views of some nearby luxury apartments that the tram passes.
It’s a fun trip and if you have a MetroCard it doesn’t cost anything extra. You just swipe your card and enter.
